Jacqueline Blaylock | Founder & Partner

My journey into entertainment began in Chicago, Illinois and took shape at the intersection of creativity, strategy, and leadership. I’ve built my career around a simple belief — our stories deserve to be seen, and the voices behind them deserve a clear pathway to the screen.

I began my career at the Directors Guild of America, where I gained a fundamental understanding of how creative work is structured, owned, protected, and sustained, and that experience shapes how I approach storytelling—not only as an art form, but as work that thrives when supported by thoughtful systems, strong leadership, and long-term vision.

With a degree in Business Administration and Management from California State University, Los Angeles, I have built a career across film, television, live events, and digital content. More than a decade at The Walt Disney Company in television programming and development deepened my experience in creative affairs and collaborative production. Over the years, I’ve held leadership roles at CBS, served as Director of Creative Affairs for filmmaker Roy Campanella II, and later became president of Duke Media, the production company of acclaimed filmmaker Bill Duke, where I oversaw creative development, operations, strategy, and business affairs.

Along the way, I have partnered on projects through Locklin Entertainment Media Group and Free Rein Films and later helped to lead the Hollywood Black Film Festival as both partner and executive director.

These experiences reinforce a core truth for me: creators thrive and do their best work when they have access, support, and a strong creative ecosystem. Whether developing television projects, producing specials, or managing large-scale initiatives, my focus remains on building environments where storytellers can grow and sustain their work.

That philosophy led me to co-found The BLK Collective Media Group, an ecosystem dedicated to supporting and advancing filmmakers and their creative voices. Through our BLK Film & Entertainment Collective, The BLK Collective Foundation, and The Reel Collective, our work will continue to focus on building platforms and creating opportunities that connect emerging and established filmmakers with the resources and relationships that are needed to help creatives bring meaningful stories to life, and ensure those stories reach audiences around the world.
